A vessel to remind you that you are, in every moment, surrounded by love. There isn't any escaping it. (So don't try to escape). This piece is not only sweet as a button with its message, it's also a delight to the senses. The contrast between the glazed and unglazed parts of the vessel feel like heaven to touch. A dear friend said to me that she'd love to see it filled with crudités and hummus. I feel we may have to oblige her.
Black glaze and underglaze pencil on white stoneware clay. Hand-painted. Absolutely no stencils in sight. Fired twice at 1280°C.
