The Maybe Jug was born after bringing to life the yes, no, and maybe vessels. I knew that the Maybe jug wanted to exist in form. This piece features a cacophony of NO's on one side, and a tapestry of YES's on the other. I hand-painted these words as I was navigating my own struggles (and joys) in understanding when I wanted to say No versus when I wanted to say Yes. I realised that I didn't always know when or how to say either. This piece is a visual and sculptural exploration of our own relationship to openness, resistance, self-trust, and choice.
